Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your information, in plain. plain English.

This policy explains what data Inkline Media gathers when you visit our site, fill out a form, or work with us, and the choices you have. Last updated June 2026.

Who we are.

Inkline Media is a digital marketing and RevOps agency based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. In this policy, "Inkline," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Inkline Media. "You" refers to anyone who visits our website, contacts us, or engages our services.

We are the data controller for the personal information described here. If you have a question about this policy or your data, the contact details are at the bottom of this page.

Information we collect.

Information you give us. When you submit a form (a free audit request, a contact message, a one-pager download, or a newsletter sign-up), we collect what you choose to share, typically your name, email address, company, role, and the details of your enquiry.

Information we collect automatically. When you browse the site, we collect standard technical data through cookies and analytics: IP address, browser type, device, pages visited, referring source, and UTM parameters. We use this to understand traffic, measure campaigns, and improve the site.

Information from our work together. If you become a client, we process the data needed to deliver the engagement, which may include access credentials, CRM and marketing records, and project communications, all handled under our client agreement.

How we use your information.

We use your information to respond to enquiries and audit requests, deliver and support the services you hire us for, send you content you asked for, measure and improve our marketing and website, and meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not send marketing email to people who have not asked for it, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.

Cookies and analytics.

Our site uses cookies and similar technologies for two purposes: to make the site work (essential cookies) and to understand how it is used (analytics and marketing cookies, such as Google Analytics and advertising pixels).

You can refuse non-essential cookies through your browser settings or our cookie controls where offered. Blocking cookies may affect how some parts of the site function.

How we share information.

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run our business, and only as far as they need it to do their job. These include our CRM and marketing platforms (such as HubSpot and Marketo), our hosting and infrastructure provider (Kinsta, on Google Cloud), email and analytics tools, and our payment and accounting providers.

These providers process data on our behalf under contract. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our clients, or the public.

Where your data is processed.

Inkline is based in Canada, and some of our service providers process data in the United States or other countries. Where data crosses borders, we rely on the safeguards offered by those providers, including contractual protections, to keep it secure.

How long we keep it.

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as long as the law requires. Enquiry and audit data is retained while we are in contact and for a reasonable follow-up period. Client records are kept for the life of the engagement and the retention period set in our agreement and by tax and accounting rules.

How we protect it.

We host on managed Kinsta infrastructure with SSL, daily backups, uptime monitoring, and security controls, and we limit access to personal data to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to guard against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access.

Your rights and choices.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, withdraw consent, or object to certain processing. Canadian residents have these rights under PIPEDA, and residents of other regions may have equivalent rights under their local law.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the timeframe the applicable law sets.

Children.

Our site and services are intended for businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy.

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be made clear on the site.

Contact us.
